Abstract

Vasectomy is a small operation and an operation that is lighter than circumcision for men. Former operations only in the form of a wound in the middle or small cuts on either side of the bag testicles (scrotum). Vasectomy is useful for blocking the transport of spermatozoa (sperm) in pipes male sperm (seminal tract of men). However, it is becoming very scary for men who wish to participate in a program of family planning (KB). Why it is so scary? This is because of socialization and communication of BKKBN were deemed not maximized, the study also raised regarding the socialization process related to vasectomy for men in the city of Palembang. The method used in this research was qualitative in-depth interviews in the form of several informants who have been determined in accordance with the experience and skills. The population in this study was 13 Ulu residents, districts across ‘seberang Ulu II’, Palembang. Selection of the residents seen from the number of families in the village 13 Ulu totaling 6342.57. from that number of populations we take three (3) samples of key informants.
