PENGGUNAAN MEDIA SOSIAL INSTAGRAM PADA AKUN @YHOOPHII_OFFICIAL SEBAGAI MEDIA KOMUNIKASI DENGAN PELANGGAN

Abstract
This research entitled "Use of Instagram Social Media on @yhoophii_official Account
as a media of communication with customers". The purpose of this research is to find out how the
use of Instagram social media on the @yhoophii_official account as a media of communication with
customers. Instagram is an application to share photos, videos, apply digital filters and share them
to various network services including Instagram itself. The method used in this research is a
qualitative method with a descriptive approach, using data collection methods with interviews,
observation, and documentation. The theory used in this research is the theory of New Media by
Pierre Levy. The location of this research is located at Jalan Kapten Marzuki No. 528 C,
Palembang, South Sumatera. Informants in this research consisted of key informants and supporting
informants. The key informant in this research is Sri Rahayu Widianti as the admin of the
@yhoophii_official Instagram account. And two supporting informants in this research is Yoza Dwi
Cahaya and Fitria Wulandari as a customers. The results of this research show that the
@yhoophii_official account is used to share information about products, store operating hours, how
to shop online, all things related to the Yhoophii Shop, and to become a media of communication
with customers. Customers can interact by providing questions through the @yhoophii_official
account which will be answered by the admin.
