Abstract

Determination of the amount of inventory level in the snack industry is essential. Currently, the Snack Industry is facing a condition where it has a high level of inventory which can be seen from the inventory level, which is 41 days, compared to the company's target of 15 days. This condition has disrupted the company's cash flow. On the other hand, the large variety of products in the offset category makes procurement of offset goods challenging for companies. This research will focus on creating an appropriate inventory control system where materials are always available with measurable inventory levels. The application of vendor-managed inventory (VMI) will be implemented in this research so that company goals can be achieved. After applying the VMI method to the Snack industry, the inventory level decreased from 41 days to 20 days of inventory.
