Abstract

The year 2014 is a historic year for Indonesian leadership. In this year, Indonesian people celebrate the democracy party. It is at this feast that the fate of the people and the government of Indonesia is determined through elections. Beginner voters are among the voters who often do not count their prospects as pockets of votes in the previous general election. Along with the development of information technology and its equipment, the novice voters as the biggest users of information technology began to show the stretching to get involved in the arena of Indonesian politics. In 2014 the number of beginner voters in Indonesia is estimated to amount to 40,749,503, a very potential amount. So this study aims to see how the influence of social media as a means of popular interaction among young people affect the political attitude of these beginner voters. The beginner population of voters in Palembang is 20% of the total voters about 200 thousand more beginner voters, the sample obtained from the formula slovin as many as 99 people and rounded up to 100 orang.hasil this research is social media, especially twitter effect on behavior and political attitude beginners.
